Asda and Sainsbury’s have urged shoppers to check their cupboards due to allergy and safety fears. Food recall warnings are not often issued but something that should be taken seriously. This is the list of products affected.
The Food Standards Agency website said: “Premier Foods is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.”
The point-of-sale notices give more information about the recall and what customers should do.
Although the product is sold in many retailers, the recall only affects those sold in Asda stores in the north of England.
Packs that are 400 grams with the lot number 0092 A5 and time codes between 22:41 and 22:47 should be returned.
The affected products also have the best before date of end: March 2022.
Anyone who has bought the items has been asked to contact Premier Foods Customer Service at www.bisto.co.uk or Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 0101.
It can also be returned to stores for a refund if making an essential trip to the supermarket.
Point-of-sale notices have also been placed in stores to give customers more information.
Shoppers who have recently purchased the food product should check to see if they have one of the affected packs.
It can be returned to stores during an essential shopping trip or customers can contact Sainsbury’s on 0800 636 262 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
