Speaking to the camera, she said: “They’ve turned the coffee machine off downstairs, it’s only three o’clock, I don’t know how they expect me to act.”
But the blonde beauty soon changed her mood when she discovered a machine to make her favourite drink in another room.
She excitedly told her followers: “I’ve just found this in the make-up room, I’m actually really emotional.”
Ahead of her hunt for coffee, Catherine gave viewers a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of a massage chair from the Coronation Street set, which she claimed did “inappropriate things” to her.
The actress was captured sitting on the soap’s vibrating chair, in which she pulled a series of funny faces to show viewers the extent of the vibrations.
The TV star uploaded the hilarious encounter to her Instagram story with the caption: “On the weird Corrie chair that does inappropriate things to your bum. #Lunchbreak.”(sic)
Also during filming, Catherine ranted about wearing Ugg boots in the rain.
As she filmed herself walking in the damp weather, she could be heard saying: “These shoes are illegal at the best of times… we are nearly in May…what the fudge?”
Catherine is currently filming her final scenes for the ITV soap, ahead of her exit in June.
Last year, the mother-of-one announced she is leaving the cobbles after seven years to concentrate on other career opportunities.
Speaking in a recent interview she said: “Corrie was always my dream job and something I hoped I would do one day. I’ve loved every second of being there.
“When I went to see [ex-producer] Kate Oates to tell her I wanted to leave, it was so difficult.
“She’s been phenomenal for Eva and me. Ironically, I feel happier at Corrie than I ever have done.”
Speaking about her imminent last day on the soap, she told OK! Magazine: “I’ll be an absolute wreck! I just feel tearful now as I know I’m going to miss it so much.”
Catherine’s alter-ego Eva is currently due to give birth with her ex-fiance Aidan Connor’s (played by Shayne Ward) baby.
Eva promised to give her child to Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor), after her and Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) surrogate had a miscarriage.
In what could be a plot twist in upcoming scenes, Eva is pictured cradling her baby girl in hospital, leaving fans questioning what is going to happen next.
Meanwhile, Catherine teased that despite her planned exit later this year, fans of the soap could be seeing her on the Weatherfield set again.
She told Radio Times: “I would love to go back at some point.
“I know a lot of people say that and then you never see them again, but I would. I’d love to see Eva come back and wreak a bit of havoc down the line.”
Coronation Street continues tomorrow on ITV at 7.30pm.
