Coronation Street newcomer, Alya (played by Sair Khan) has been causing a ruckus in recent weeks on the ITV soap.
She was recently given Underworld by Aidan (Shayne Ward) following his death in a big will twist.
However, the Connor family tried in secret to contest his decision before Alya found out.
But she did and tonight’s episode saw her take what’s rightfully hers.
Having already upset Carla Connor (Alison King) when she revealed her business intentions, it seems the Connor family’s problems could be about to get a whole lot worse.
At a press event earlier today, Sair was quizzed by press if she could see any romance in the future for her character.
Alya has only really been with three people on the street: Gary Windass (Mikey North), Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton) and the late Luke Britton (Dean Fagan).
The actress, 30, confessed: “She really messed things up with Gary didn’t she?
“I was in the canteen with one of the girls earlier wondering who she could get with next because I do like a little romance and I do want to see some positive outlook in her life.
“I do love working with different actors like I was saying, and the romance story is always fun.
“Obviously with Josh, that was something else in itself because the audience knew about his situation and she didn’t, but I hope that there is romance in her future.”
Sair went on to joke how she could add further salt to Carla’s wound by dating her ex, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price).
But it seemed she settled on an unlikely candidate: One of Michelle’s (Kym Marsh) sons.
She considered: “That might work really well actually… Ali [Neeson, James Burrows].”
Sair later confessed how she was over the moon to find out her character would get Underworld.
“I couldn’t believe it,” she giggled. “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh’.
“I was ringing everyone, ‘Oh my God, I’m gonna have the factory!’
“It’s unbelievable – it’s so exciting and I’ll never stop being excited about being on Coronation Street and being involved in storylines like this, it never gets old.
“I still can’t believe it, it’s amazing.”
Elsewhere on Coronation Street, Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) risked her baby Susie secret getting exposed.
Coronation Street continues Friday on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
