Emmerdale spoilers: Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden in surrogacy trouble? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Emmerdale returned tonight and viewers tuned in to see the morning after the night before as Maya Stepney (played by Louisa Clein) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) returned to the village from spending the night together.

Whilst they were busy trying to keep their forbidden affair a secret from several of the residents, there was trouble in paradise teased for Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).

Scenes aired in the instalment showed Aaron attend a surrogacy information event alone as Robert focused on his work.

But it was the conversation he had with Lucie (Susan Jayne Robinson) and Jeremy, the scrap metal worker seemed worried.

“Ava’s Lucie’s latest,” Jeremy explained the situation whereby his daughter was Lucie’s most recent surrogate baby.

“Thinking about ready to go for my fourth,” the surrogate announced, and then she clarified: “No, this will be my last time. I reckon I’ve done my bit for the childless!”

Turning to Jeremy, those watching at home asked: “Have you shown him any pictures of Ava?”

“Only about 80 yesterday,” he replied and she continued: “Including the ones of Christmas? Of all of us?”

Giving in to her request, Jeremy got his phone out and showed Aaron a photo with himself, his husband, daughter and Lucie all in matching Christmas jumpers.

Concerned with their set up, Aaron questioned: “Do you still spend a lot of time with them and Ava? Jeremy said you’re like an aunt to her?”

“Yes,” Lucie explained and added. “But it’s a bit more than that obviously; we’re quite a unique little pair, her and me.”

Just before the soap cut to an ad break, viewers saw Aaron with a concerned expression on his face, as if what Lucie had said worried him.

Could this mean the arrangement Lucie is suggesting, whereby she is partly involved in the child’s life is not one ‘Robron’ are looking for?

And does this in turn hint at Aaron and Robert’s chances of being parents are now close to none?

To add to this, several viewers watching the episode at home were convinced something was not right with the situaion Aaron found himself in tonight.

EMMERDALE SPOILERS: MAYA EXPOSED FOR GROOMING JACOB AND ARRESTED?

Taking to Twitter to discuss, one said: “#Emmerdale alarm bells should be ringing in Aarons ears. There would be in mine after that revelation.”

“I dont think this pair is right, they just seem weird, I just hope they don’t hurt Aaron. #Emmerdale,” another added.

A third commented: “You might want to rethink looking forward to this surrogacy story-This couple look as dodgy as anything-Aaron is so about to get conned! #Emmerdale.”

I reckon they are a pair of con artists poor Aaron is going to fall for it. #Emmerdale,” someone wrote.

One Tweet read: “Hate to be cynical, but something feels off with this Lucie. I don’t think Aaron should trust her, #Emmerdale #Robron.”

“Aaron if it sounds to good to be true it most probably is #Emmerdale,” a viewer suggested.

“Something dont sit right with me about this Lucie woman. I dont know why but I just don’t feel shes being honest and I dont trust her. Just a hunch I have #Emmerdale #Robron,” another added.

It comes after speculation is rife regarding one Dingle couple getting a divorce.

With only Robron, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Jessie Grant (Sandra Marvin) the only martial couples within the family, it seems there is a strong possibility the fan-favourite men are going to be driven apart by this storyline.

Elsewhere in Emmerdale, viewers are wondering how Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) is going to leave the village.

It comes after the actress revealed she is pregnant with her third child and will therefore be taking a break from filming duties.

With the Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) missing persons case rife, will she leave with him?

Here are five dramatic exit storylines Debbie could be involved with.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV.
