Danny Dyer will follow in his daughter Dani’s footsteps as it is believed he will lend his voice to a brand new dating show.
The 40-year-old EastEnders star is set to narrate MTV’s True Love or True Lies?, which will be hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ Maya Jama.
Six couples will arrive at a mansion in Italy believing they are there to compete to be crowned The Perfect Couple and bag £50,000.
But in reality not all the couples are genuine, some are faking it and it is down to the contestants to vote out the fake pairs each night.
If they successfully send home the individuals pretending to be an item the price pot will grow by £10,000 each time.
A synopsis teased: “The couples will compete in daily love games, designed to test their relationship, get an insight into everyone else’s and prove that they have what it takes to be crowned the perfect couple.
“At the end of each day, the couples will take part in a Love Ceremony, giving them the opportunity to choose the pair they believe to be liars.
“The couple with the most votes will leave the competition immediately.”
Host Maya said she was “excited” to be hosting the new series and described some of the hopefuls as “seriously good liars”.
She gushed: “I’m so excited to be hosting my very own show on MTV this summer! It was so fun to film.
“There were some amazing couples with incredible love stories in there, AND some seriously good liars so get involved and play along!”
Danny recently opened up about his own experience in reality TV during an interview with Good Evening Britain presenter Piers Morgan.
The father-of-three defended this year’s Love Islanders, saying: “I’ve had my moments with reality TV as well, it is an instant thing at the moment and it is a career.
“Some of these young kids can’t be bothered with a real struggle with acting so why not go and try and do this Love Island thing and earn loads of money and crack right on.”
Earlier this week his wife Jo revealed he is “jealous” of all the fun daughter Dani is having on the ITV show.
Jo told Caroline Flack: “I think he’s a bit jealous, he does cry a lot. Every night. He really misses her.
She added: ”I like Jack [Fincham]. I trust him yeah. I think he’s caring for Dani, I think he’s got her back.”
Dani and Jack are favourites to win this year’s competition with bookies making it odds of just 1/8 that the couple are crowned the 2018 champions.
Ladbrokes spokeswoman Jessica Bridge said: “Fans love Jack and Dani for standing their ground and being honest with Georgia. Despite the already short price on offer, we’ve been left with little option but to cut their odds of winning once again.”
