Television shows and films across the world have put down their tools and walked out in a bid to help stop the spread of coronavirus. Riverdale is among the many to have stopped filming for the time being. This was not only in response to the pandemic worldwide but for the health and safety of its cast and crew members as someone came into close proximity of a COVID-19 case.

Earlier this month, Riverdale announced it was shutting down filming due to a coronavirus-related incident.
A Warner Bros TV spokesperson said: “We have been made aware that a team member from Riverdale, which is produced in Vancouver, was recently in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.
“The team member is currently receiving medical evaluation.
“We are working closely with the appropriate authorities and health agencies in Vancouver to identify and contact all individuals who may have come into direct contact with our team member.
“The health and safety of our employees, casts and crews is always our top priority.
“We have and will continue to take precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world.
“Out of an abundance of caution, production on Riverdale is currently suspended.”

Thankfully though, it sounds like Tupa’i is slowly on the mend and recovering from coronavirus.
He continued: “I can now get out of bed and breathe OK for about 30 mins before I have to lie down again.
“And I can now smell and taste things again. Each day I’m feeling a little stronger.”
So far, there has been no indication KJ Apa has got the virus.
