HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: THE MUSICAL: THE SERIES Stream on Disney Plus. In one of the more meta offerings on Disney’s new streaming service, this 10-episode scripted mocumentary series follows a group of students and faculty at the school where “High School Musical” was set, and follows them as they prepare to present a musical production based on that Disney Channel movie that premiered 13 years earlier. Still with me? The show will focus on the friendships, rivalries and love triangles that arise, and will feature new songs, as well as reinterpretations of the music that propelled Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel and Ashley Tisdale to teen stardom.
JEFF GARLIN: OUR MAN IN CHICAGO Stream on Netflix. But in this special, Greene heads back to his hometown to celebrate 37 years in comedy, doling out a mix of storytelling, standup and improv. He’ll even poke a bit of fun at his “immensely successful” “Curb” role, joking about the number of people who still stop him to ask: “What’s Larry David really like?”
