Kerry (played by Laura Norton) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) are struggling with their guilty consciences’ after keeping their involvement in the factory fire a secret.
Amy and Kerry unintentionally caused the fire after destroying CCTV cameras which implicated them in a robbery.
However, Frank Clayton (Michael Praed) who tragically died in the Emmerdale blaze, has been blamed for the fire.
Speaking to Express.co.uk at the TV Choice Awards, ITV soap star Laura revealed what’s in store for the guilty villager.
When asked if her neighbours are going to discover the truth about the fire soon. she said: “I hope so it’s gone on long enough.
“I can’t say too much but there’s still quite a lot of explosive stuff that’s still to come on screen.”
The Emmerdale star confessed she was “looking forward” to seeing the storyline come to a conclusion.
She continued: “It’s been a massive challenge but I’m really looking forward to getting back to some sort of normality if she can after this, time will tell.”
After lying to the police about her and Amy’s involvement in the fire, Laura remarked it was only fair Kerry has her comeuppance.
She said: “I think she made a lot of bad decisions for what she thought were the right reasons.
“But something has got to give cause she can’t keep living in this hell forever.”
Kerry star Laura added that after weeks of being wracked with guilt, she thinks the truth coming out will “help [Kerry] move on”.
The Emmerdale resident hasn’t had much luck with men in the past and the soap star has dropped a huge clue about her character’s future love life.
Laura admitted there are no plans for Kerry to find comfort in the arms of a new love interest.
She said: “I think they’re quite interested in keeping Kerry single for a while to see where that’s going to take her.”
