Phillip hit back at the criticism and in view of his 4.5 Twitter followers wrote: “In view of his 4.5 million Twitter followers, he wrote: “Can I point out that if Mr Corbyn had asked for a selfie, we would have happily obliged.”
Another user commented: “Again why no pushing Johnson for an apology as you did with Mr Corbyn?
“You were rude and interjected, Boris Johnson tells you there’s more to his articles and he’s been asked if he can understand why it would hurt people’s feelings.”
The presenter responded, writing: “I did”.
“Did you ask Boris to apologise for the years of racism and islamophobia? Because he hasn’t apologised either,” another user queried.
Phillip defensively replied: “YES!!”
